Lost car key advice
#1
Please help someone, it really ruined our Christmas. My significant other lost the keys/keychain from the Volvo car at Christmas, we searched the house and can't find, also can't find a spare key! We're not sure if they're in the car, but we can't see them.
A car fitter costs £450, and a trip to the dealer will also cost about the same. We are not rich people, and this cost would seriously complicate our life in January
and to be honest, kids, the car probably doesn't cost £500, so we were wondering if we had registered with the RAC and paid for an add-on to replace the car key... can we immediately require someone to open the car and make a new key if the key is not inside? We had a few people who tried to get into it, but they were unlucky as the Volvo is very safe.
Please help me.

Most often I lose my keys somewhere near the garage or on the driveway. Look, maybe they fell into bushes or flowers.

You can call Mobile Locksmith, which isn't so expensive. When my wife broke the car key in the ignition, a good specialist came to us, quickly replaced the lock, gave us new keys, took money for a new lock and a little for his work. Since then, the key has worked much more pleasantly and turns smoothly in the lock. He also changed the keychain for our car keys, which eventually deteriorated at great distances from the car. Now I can open the trunk or back doors of the car standing on the house's doorstep so that my wife can take a forgotten purse or jacket.

For me a locksmith has changed the car door lock and also programmed one key fob. They have charged nominal fee for their service.

Losing car keys can be a frustrating and inconvenient experience, but there are practical solutions to this problem. First, retracing your steps and checking common places like pockets, bags, or around the house is essential. If you've exhausted your search without success, consider contacting a locksmith or your car's dealership for a replacement key, which may cost a bit. Additionally, you can sell car online if it's an old or unwanted vehicle, and use the proceeds to cover the replacement key expense. To avoid future key losses, consider investing in a key tracker or keeping a spare key with a trusted friend or family member.
