Why my outlook is not sending emails?
#1
Even though it seems like Outlook should be able to send an email, sometimes it can't because of problems like emails getting stuck in the outbox. The good news is that you can fix this problem yourself by following the steps below. Work through the steps one at a time for the best results, until your problem is solved or you find the best solution for you.
Don't update automatically
If you have automatic updates set up, Outlook might not send emails. When updates are installed, Outlook may close without warning, making it impossible to send or receive emails.
Go to File > Options > Advanced to turn off automatic updates. Uncheck the box next to Check for updates, which is under Automatic Updates.
Remove older versions of Outlook.
If Outlook is giving you trouble, you can try getting rid of any older versions of the programme. This is because old versions can sometimes cause problems when they are mixed with new ones.
To do this, go to Control Panel > Programs and Features and find Outlook in the list of installed programmes.
Select Uninstall when you right-click on it.
Follow the on-screen instructions to finish removing Outlook, and then
Restart your computer.
Try again to open Outlook and see if it works now.
