You must have observed that whenever you try and search something on Wikipedia you find information on that specific topic in the form of an article or a page. Now, whether you call it a page or an article the basic purpose to create a Wikipedia article is to share information. That information is biased and is shared just so that people can make good use of that. Creating awareness is the fundamental reason for wiki pages or articles. There are other motives behind wiki articles as well, what do you think they might be?
