World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade Classic resources were recently added to the 1.13 Classic PTR, and the new version now includes a date and a ray cast string.
As famed World of Warcraft dataminer @Marlamin discovered, the vanilla server option of Blizzard's public test domain recently received an update that includes resources for Burning Crusade. At first glance, the resources appear to show the interface for character cloning and multi-era server support on Classic. As Blizzard mentioned at the BlizzConline event last month, Classic players will be able to clone their "Classic" era characters for use in both Classic and TBC Classic for a fee.
Another interesting thing found in the updated PTR is a date string for the one that could be tied to the release date of the Burning Crusade pre-patch on Classic servers - May 18, 2021. Of course, this could be the number of date strings, just be a fictional date, but we wanted to share it anyway.
The updated global strings on the PTR now also mention various ray tracing options, which could indicate that the new Burning Crusade Classic client will be based on the World of Warcraft: Shadowlands client with ray traced shadow support. The gamepad connection is also mentioned in the chains - an innovation that was also introduced with Shadowlands. It should be noted that these new options are not yet available on the PTR at the time of writing.
World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade Classic was officially announced at BlizzCon last month. The classic server option for the first World of Warcraft expansion will launch later this year. Recent rumors suggest that the game's closed beta will begin soon.
Prior to the launch of Burning Crusade Classic, players will have the opportunity to move their existing characters to an Era realm for free. SSEGold will also offer cheap world of warcraft classic gold for your.
